What strikes you first is the sound — a constant low roar of cooling fans modulated by the occasional click of a switch. The temperature differential between hot and cold aisles is measurable with your skin before any instrument confirms it.
Everything is labelled. Every cable, every port, every rack unit. The discipline required to keep ten thousand servers organised and accessible is not glamorous, but it is foundational to everything that runs above it.
